I have just migrated to the 1999 unlimited plan (at the weekend) and the upload and download speeds have improved for p2p but regular web browsing is still poor.
Well then why not go for Tata Broabdand 1Mbps UL at 3600?
2 reasons, the first being I have not heard a good thing about Tata broadband.
I also do not trust the Tata brand!
The second being that my company set up my broadband connection for me and changing the provider is a lot of red tape ( I can claim some costs back if I have work related internet use at home - which means file sharing software to view files in real time). This does not happen often though.
As for poor web browsing, this is something particular to my connection and not the 512K speed. Many colleagues of mine can browse the web smoothly with the 256K connection.
no way u can get that bro .. we all get constant 55kbps on downloads i think some problem with ur router settings and other firewalls or fire up a call with cutomer care they r really helpful .. dont say its a waste plan its worth if u need a 512 unlmited
i agree with piratex. it's not a plan for everyone, but it's good if you download a lot.you're getting 15kbps? wtf ?! i'm getting around 50-55 on torrents and a costant 58-60 on other downloads.
Today someone from AirTel called me saying there is an offer for existing customer for switching to 512 Unlimited for only Rs.1599 per month for the next 12 months, i have agreed to that & he said the plan change will happen in the next billing cycle i.e 26th of this month!!!:yahoo:Lets see how much speed actually i would be getting!By the way i am from Bangalore
weird airtel speed changes are instantaneous from what i know. anyways... i dont keep on my airtel connection. so no idea how they would be able to offer me such a package
