All the weird things with Jio fiber?

Hi, My local isp is complete trash and I now have the option to get jio fiber. I want to try them out the next time I am home and I am trying to figure out all the weird things they do on their network.

I will be using this with a xpon sfp ont. I won't be using their IPv6 implementation(I use my own IPv6 block over a wireguard tunnel). My questions are,


1. Is it still not possible to get static ip on the residential service? It's unlikely i'll be able to get the business service which offers static ip.
2. Do they block wireguard at all? i.e. wireguard protocol in general or wg traffic to specific destinations? I use it a lot. To access my home network, For all my torrent traffic and for the IPv6 tunnel.


What is every thing else I should know about before getting it ?

1. Very unlikely, most locations covered by Jio Fiber are now under CG-NAT and I don't see an option on residential connections to pay for a static IP.
2. No limitations on outbound connections, all protocols seem to be working fine, I am running a few WG tunnels myself.

Coming to the ONT part, I am not sure sure bout your specific model but it is a pain to introduce anything apart from the Jio provided devices into their networking, the configuration is a pain, with half the options either being blocked, not accessible, or just being there for show.

IPv6 connectivity is good but I couldn't get the ports to open up, if you are running a home lab or something and don't mind using tunnels and reverse proxies then go ahead. Don't expect any services fully reliant on port forwarding to work like a charm here!
