Ummm, I also have some doubts.. not that I am pin pointing him.
1) He says there are 3 directors, why do we never hear abt them in papers or anywhere..are they not helping him? May be they are just financial supporters and will only come in light if Hayai launches.
Actually 4 now, soon 6. 1 of the current and 1 of the future are purely financial supporters (and our CEO). 1 of the future directors is a CTO. The other 2 that are current are our HR managers and CFO.
I would say that they reasons they don't appear in the papers is because they don't know as much about the technical side of things, which us usually what questions are about. If anyone wishes to interview them, they can.
2) I was surprised yesterday when i read that hayai is not launched in NZ. Reason he now gives is that he is feasibility testing... but i was under impression that its already launched like 6 month back .... so how come its still under testing?
6 months ago I hadn't even formed the company in NZ. I only did that in September 2010.
3) How can a
business not have proper website? Even if its not launched officially, it shud atleast have some info esp. when its going to be such a big launch.
Why should we have a proper website when we're barely in testing? Most companies with products in this stage have a signup form with a "we'll let you know when we launch".
4) If it took so many months to test in NZ.. how much will same take in India?
It's been in testing in NZ now for only a couple of weeks. Even in NZ there have been many delays because the NZ government is building it's own FTTH network and many of the companies I'm dealing with need to know what their roles are in that network (if any) before they'll make a move on any private enterprise. And I can understand why: $1.5 billion versus however much I throw at them (probably a lot less than $1.5 billion).
In India, we can't even test officially with users (that would violate the rules about running the operation), but the infrastructure is at a far more advanced stage. The testing that needs to be done has been done, but unfortunately the infrastructure is currently sitting there doing nothing. When we can launch, we we will.
