It has gone a few notches better than previous apps......its showing 18-19 degrees as Minimum temperature!

This might look a dumb question to many, but i have got that question - I m about to root my phone with the link given by Manu. Now after rooting, if i install another ROM which i have got my eyes on, then will it require rooting again? And if yes, then will the same root work, or will the new ROM have a different package for rooting?

Rooting is a one time task. Once rooted, it stays that way

Thanks! Btw after i root, i m going to install this ROM: [ROM][XWLP4] Pure ICS v7.2 [05-Apr-2012] - xda-developers Pure ICS for S2. I think if i install this, i will lose the apps that i got from Samsung, like Kies, Polaris Office and all right?

Edit: So the phone has been rooted successfully!

@Jaymin Why not backup ur apps with Titanium.

Yep. I have used it actually. But now i dont know how to restore the backup. :S I had installed it after rooting my phone, backed up the apps & then installed the new ROM. Now all i want to know is - how do i restore the apps. I can see the backup location on the card too, but cant do anything.....

Ok, so now the apps have been restored. But Play store is not working somehow! It always crashes. Seems that while restoring the backed up apps, i have restored Play Store as well, when it was running in the background. Any method to fix this now?!Edit: Ok, i think Googling up everytime & landing to XDA is solving the problems for me most of the times! Someone had mentioned that app data can be cleared & the updates can be rolled back, which should fix such problems. And it did fix for me!

So you've finally plunged into rooting and flashing custom firmwares :calm:. I too have flashed Cyanogenmod9 on my Defy+ which is just more than a month old, just loving ICS.
