I will never ever understand what is it about these stupid iOS devices that makes so many swoon. They are dumb, and they are overpriced.

Hardware specs ....you mean they are cheap quality ???
And now software part ...one whole integrated smart phone with the best of features ...

I dont get it ...what else do you want to SWOON ???

I think that limitation is only for the pictures ....but yeah strange ...he did not clarify what happens post 30 days

I said overpriced, not cheap quality. There is a difference For instance, the hardware used in the N8 is marginally (about $5) costlier than the one used in the iPhone. However, there is a huge difference in their retailing prices. That, when the iPhone has tremendous volumes which the N8 obviously doesn't.

What I am less impressed about with the iOS is its capabilities. It has always been the restrictive of the OS right from its launch. It has always played catch up than come up with anything new. And the worst part is probably that it wants the users to do certain things (a lot of things actually) in a certain way. Finally, the look and the icons, the iPhone should sell in pink. Suits that phone the best.

That said, one area where the device really scores is the touch response. Easily the best I have experienced. However, that is not a deal maker for me. I prefer out of the box functionality.

I quite liked the whole lot of things coming on iOS

It has reduced the gap between itself and Android a LOT. Unless android 3.1 comes quickly and that too with a lot of shebang ....Apple sales ll be back to compete.


But one thing is for sure ...iOS and Android combined will kill Meego/Symbian/RIM/Bada

WP7 will survive ...based upon the latest video they released 4 days back

WP7 is a genuinely oustanding piece of work. However, until it gets the right push, it won't sell. As simple as that. The way Apple presents their features as the greatest inventions since the evoluation of humanity, even if they are copied, any unsuspecting person would fall prey

One word - MARKETING !

^ Exactly. It isn't like Microsoft is bad at marketing either, however, they don't get the right press unlike Apple, which has a lot of fanboys. One of these days, Apple is going to get inspired by some of the WP7 characteristics and then all are going to go gaga over it.

WWDC 2011 were sold out within 2 hours & people were waiting for 4 hours in long Q.But I must say, After Apple by lowering the prices of there OS, They now surely want to overtake the PC segment where they are lagging behind.
