No, i can't. because A8 is a single core processor. Worse than the A4 on the iPad 1(because of better implementation)if you are referring to cheap half baked "iballberry" tablets, then I rest my case. most of the decent android tablets like the Galaxy tab 10.1 and the Asus transformer prime (45k in India) are priced pretty high. and even at that price, you don't get access to a lot of tablet specific apps. as of now, a majority of tablet sales come from US/Europe/Japan/China where per capita incomes are high so the iPad is not relatively that expensive but if it pleases you, i'll change my statement to it will annihilate the market share of 350$+ android tablets.

To me... iphone4s & the New ipad are a huge disappointments in the sense, that calling themselves as the "innovators" - More is expected from them.. These are only ok-ish improvements (Like Samsung launching the same devices with a few changes with the Plus name tag for all their Android mobiles)

At this level of technological saturation, new features hardly can be groundbreaking. I look only for 2 things. Timely updates and better support. Name one android tablet or its manufacturer who promises free update to Android 5 when it gets released this summer? None. Nada... Zilch...!!Heck they are even having difficulty to update to Android 4 ICS.With iPad I am at guaranteed free updates for at least 1.5 to 2 years. I also know that my product will remain current for 1 year. Not to mention the quality and polish of Apps is infinitely better. I also hate evil google to the core. (PS: Fandroids don't be butt hurt. They're just my views and they do not mean the world has ended.)

Android updates debate has been beaten to death...Its not Google's fault - That companies like to do cosmetic surgery on their products, which are one of the main reasons of the non-updates. On the other hand, we can justify that things are improving by brands coming up with unlocked bootloaders and the dev community coming up with lot of mods... Also, the variation in models/specs is sometimes good , but is causing problems in coming up with unified updates.. Whereas Apple has to concentrate on 2-3 products only..

----------

I am not an Apple-hater .. I admit they make some good products, but they price their products expecting people to pay "just" for their brand name , which many do & that makes me dislike Apple a bit.

^^ You will have to admit, updating an Android phone is a problem and Google is not taking enough steps to tackle it. Not everyone is a geek who will install new custom firmware. I have seen my friends who defend Android saying that they can install better custom firmware and they spend all their time trying out new stuff and rarely use the phone for what it's supposed to be used.@dsneihNo news. Probably Apple thinks SIRI is useless on iPad. I think SIRI is useless on iPhone as well. I have a launch day 4S and I have used SIRI once or twice.

Yes, it is a problem, but blaming Google fully is incorrect... Just imagine, how it would be if Apple open sourced its iOS & all these phone-makers started coming up with their own variations ? Will you blame Apple ? The point here is that their business models are different. Ideally, you should do a - ios on iPhone Vs Android on a Nexus debate rather than an ios vs android debate.

----------

I have read that Google is working on getting commitments from phone makers that they would do software upgrades atleast for 18 months.. which is a step in the right direction (I am not sure of this, but remember reading it)

Business model wise, Blackberry's Playbook & HP's Touchpad would be the right products to compare with. And even though, I own a Playbook (I love it)... I would have to admit that ipad series is better placed.. HP gave up the race.. RIM is still trying with the OS2 update & a promise of BB10 by year-end...

----------

To add at phone levels, the comparision should be with Blackberry phones (which are having BB7) & maybe others like Samsung Bada phones etc...

General Android debates are more valid with "Symbian" , "Windows" phones..

Technology saturation is there for sure, but unless a new product is compelling, why would anyone sell his existing one and buy a new one. I guess iPad 3 is not worth for that (unless u r coming from iPad 1).Anyways Apple creates good products but has too much control in everything. I prefer one with options. If Samsung does not provide the latest android version, I can go ahead and flash a custom ROM of my choice. Not everyone can do that but still the options are endless.Anyways cant bear the Apple fan boys all across the internet with their chest thumping :(

@moin - What happened to your playbook. Did it arrive from US? I asked this in the playbook thread - But I guess you are not following it/did not see it.
