Surprised not many ppl are talking about the A5X vs Tegra 3.. Apple says 4x faster..

the 2 core SGX543 was constantly pulling good numbers ahead of the tegra 3. I don't see why the 4 core version will not be able to do better.

anyways benchmarks rarely translate into real world performance. but apple still has the edge because there is still very low fragmentation. games will be perfectly tuned for the GPU so in the real world, you will see far better performance. same for PS Vita.

hardware is the last thing keeping back android tablets, IMO it is the lack of tablet specific apps.

Well, the basic version ipad2 Wi-Fi is dropped to 24500 from 29500... I sometimes feel sad for people who bought it at a premium whenever these companies drop prices like anything once a newer version is launched or a competitor launches a rival product. Cannot imagine how people bought that original Galaxy Tab for 38 (I indirectly know someone who did for 36-37)

well. here is the thing. with Apple at least you know that the prices are unlikely to fall down till the next model is launched. and the models are updated once a year. so you have some cushion. with android devices, if you go for a brand new model, you have to know that you are paying for being one of the firsts to get that model. prices can and would fall in the coming months. i am waiting to see the official pricing of samsung Galaxy nexus when it is launched later this month hopefully. it is already retailing in the grey market for around Rs. 29,000.

of course. i can buy an ultrabook for around that price. and i do not specifically need a tablet pc. i was looking at transformer price because it gets me a tablet along with a netbook.
