Apple iPhone 15

the irony 15 and 15 plus passes the bend test they are too strong compared to pro max. even pro passed the test but pro max failed

My mother wants to buy the 15 plus. Is 85k the best price for it (90k minus HDFC offer) or are there any other offers available?

Just checked, iPhone 15 Pro Max costs Rs. 1 lakh 5 thousand in USA but same device costs Rs. 1 lakh 60 thousand in India. No way taxes are that high and USD to INR rate is that fragile. Can someone explain the logic in this absurdity of Apple pricing? Apple does assemble non-pro models in India, so why they still cost as much as they do in US?

Paisa hai, Loot lo is the basic motto.
Also, the phone is assembled in India. Components are manufactured elsewhere and imported, which attract custom duties and taxes.

iPhones Pro and above have always been expensive in India, even the Plus models I think.

I got mine from the US for a price difference of Rs. 45,000 1.5 years ago.

Battery drain on iOS 17 is a real concern. My iPhone 12 is dropping battery like crazy(85% health) although this is something i've seen with every major iOS update. It usually gets fixed in the following update.
Apple has also decided to increase the battery replacement charge to 8800 from 5500 for iPhone 12 in just a span of few months. I am planning to get the battery replaced when it drops below 80% health. Phone works flawlessly without any issues and I am planning to use it for another 1.5-2 years at least.

Edit: So apple's website shows an estimate of 8800 with an * and then when I signed in with apple ID the stores in my city listed on the website show an estimate of 6500. Idk what's the catch here 🤷🏽‍♂️

Planned obsolescence. I absolutely knew this would happen to my phone if I updated it.

I've not seen any major bugs apart from this battery drain thing. iOS 17 is pretty slick. Most of the bugs get patched in 1-2 software updates.
