it is definitely a soft launch. actual sales are only expected to begin from next week.

well. i had love samsung to launch their s3 faster now because that would definitely cause a major drop in the price of HTC One X.

but then it would cause more doubts in my mind. whether to go for One X or S3.

trying hard in my mind to avoid anything spectacular samsung launches in the future.

hehe. one x it is for now. one store claims that htc has only launched the white colored version. flipkart seems to be offering the black colored version.

Yup. it was a lame review. but it was posted in one of the leading general news site in india which i was just viewing for normal newsspecialized tech sites will always provide much better reviews

contacted a friend who runs a mobile store. he might be able to get me a one x unit at around 35500.

asking for color options. i wanted white. but he said brown and grey are available.

this also means that these are probably demo units because officially the phone is available in black and white.

just told him to get me the grey colored unit. told him to ask again if white was available. i should have it by tomm or day after tomm!

asked a friend who knows about how things work. he said that these are demo skus which are made in small quantities for promotion amongst partners in individual countries. they are usually better than stock units that are sold in the market and are essentially the same product. so basically, they are given away for free to partners and the remaining units are sold to early buyers.
