well someone needs to tell that to htc. thankfully they are trimming down the fat. the latest version is not as bulky as the previous versions and it is likely to get even slimmer in future versions. i hate the UI and the icons used by HTC on ICS. would have to live with that.

35K is a tad bit higher than what I was expecting.if it was 32k I would have ditched Sony and gone for one x.edit: if this new phone is 35K, they should reduce the price of sensation XE and XL to less than 30K. that would give some tough competition to S2.

are you seriously? it is a quad core phone with a very powerful GPU. :| any new tech is sold initially at a premium. just like how dual core devices were pretty pricey at launch but are pretty affordable now. and of course market price would be very close to 32K IF the MRP is 35K! :)

will wait for flipkart listing to be sure. :) market price of 32K for a quad core is a "game changer". :welcoming:

i still wish they launch one s in india. one s is a solid alternative to s2 which is now almost one year old. if they price it in the range of 25-27K it could sell in good numbers.

i also need to find a way to get rid of the aging nexus s. not expecting much for it considering the market has changed so much. would have to find a cousin to gift it too :|

HTC for once has priced their phones sensibly. Look at Euro prices for the same: HTC One X, S, V launch in Europe, Asia on Monday - GSMArena.com news

A quad core phone with IPS panel and all other goodies for 35k is indeed good. and street price will be less by at least 2k. All initial reports of the One X are excellent. Hope this phone does for HTC what S2 did for Samsung!

There are 2 drawbacks to the One S. Only 16gb onboard memory (approx 12gb user available) without sd card slot and the display is pentile matrix.

well it would still be a major update for me from nexus s :) the display is of course not as good as s2 but other specifications are still pretty good. in the end, it is how you feel about a display. technicalities can drive anyone crazy :) i have not seen an iPhone. i have not seen a s2. i have not seen the note. i really have not seen any device that is better than my old old nexus s. i am pretty sure one s would have looked great to my eyes :)

hehe. samsung Galaxy s iii should easily be able to kick one x's ass. samsung could price it competitive and kill htc completely in this segment. they would however need to find competing devices to one s and one v. ever since they killed galaxy r in the indian market they do not have a decent option in the mid-range segment.
