I am not sure how this happened since not everyone is seeing it but whomever did this is awesome! I love that RIM is having some fun and excited about upcoming releases by showing their Canadian humor. This is what some users are seeing as a description for the OS update:
"This software release improves igloo strength by adding a base of hockey sticks to the exterior, as well as adding a heard of powerful, angry, yet playful beavers to protect the igloo. Get the Canadian only, igloo software update today at: www.blackberry.com/iglooPowerUp"
Sadly www.blackberry.com/iglooPowerUp does not go anywhere…
Though BB10 to Playbook is a confirmed thing. The timing is what would be interesting. There are rumours as we can see below that it might released before BB10 phones release (I doubt). But, it would be an interesting strategy nevertheless. It may turn out to be a tricky if they do so.
Well here is some good news from BBOta.cn, they claim that BlackBerry 10 will be launching next month on the PlayBook, and within that will be native BlackBerry Messenger, with full chat and video support. This would coincide with a rumour I heard a couple weeks ago from an insider, that RIM was going to release BlackBerry 10 on the PlayBook two weeks before the BlackBerry 10 phone launch as a marketing strategy.
Not sure if its update with respect to Playbook or Blackberry in general. Earlier apps used to cost Rs.37 for each dollar in the US. Now its Rs.50. In other words, from Indian perspective, a 35% increase.
Well, this change should have happened long ago then, also euro is more expensive than dollar, and they were charging one euro in UK, when 1 dollar in US
