BSNL 3g: 7.2 Mbps anyone?

Hi,Is anyone getting 7.2 Mbps for BSNL 3g? if yes please let us know your location...do you know when Bsnl is going to upgrade to 7.2 Mbps in India?

Will you shift your house to that location? LOLAFAIK nobody gets 7.2Mbps... Remember the product clearly says "UPTO 7.2Mbps". There are chances that very few will get this speed during certain hours.In Bangalore, I never got this much speed. During early morning the SPEEDTEST gives me between 4 to 5Mbps. But the downloads speed depends on the server load, # of peers and other factors.

ckr97 in Bangalore is getting 4 - 5Mbps speed. That is more than 3.6Mbps. Hence his nearby tower is 7.2Mbps enabled.

This can be confirmed in MDMA.

i am using the same, so are many other users, its just a tool which u can download and run, and it will show you the details, don't worry, it works fine, when using the same just don't use ur bsnl connecting software to connect.

I agree with you on the same, yesterday when i was at a friends place in koramangala thier the MDMA was showing higher download and upload speeds so definitely the tower there is 7.2 Mbps compatible. Also the signal strength was very high its was 92% in MP and -61dBm in MDMA, that can also be one of the reasons for high speed connectivity. At home in the first week i was getting -71 dBm signals in MDMA and around 90% at times in Mobile partner. But from last 8 to 10 days i am getting 70% signal strength in MP and - 83dBm in MDMA at home.

So definitely i feel there is some improvement needed to improve my signal strength to 90%, i have tried uSb cable did not help much,now looking towards getting a Antenna to boost the signal up.

Just to let you know I just came for a 2 week vacation to my home town Vijayawada, as a vacation gift BSNL has enabled 7.2 MBPS all over Vijayawada effective yesterday (26th December 2010)

That was my question for raising this thread in the first place....I have no Idea...Vijayawada may be a test bed before they activate it all over Hyderabad....

Lets wait and see what happenns, and guys please do update it if its activated any time soon..
