Bsnl 3g is pathetic in my area!!!!!

From few months i was hearing a lot about 3g at my place and yesterday i finally decided to to buy a 3g sim from bsnl csc. I straight away got H symbol on my samsung i5801 and i was shocked to see the pathetic speed i was getting, max it touched 120 kbps!!!!!!!!!!!!!! did around 7-8 speedtest on my pc too and the result was same.... and min i got was 20kbps!!!!!!!!!!!!


Then i checked the same on my friend's 3g connection and he was getting the same, but he was satisfied with the speed he was getting!!!!!!


Am I expecting too much from bsnl 3g or there is something wrong with it....

err I m yet to touch more than 700kbps on speedtest with my bsnl 3g sim but while downloading I get a constant 200KBps+ download speed in torrents & Usenet which equates to 1.8Mbps+ speed thats y I m very satisfied with bsnl 3G... Its great for mass downloading in my small town as I have no other Internet service provider here...

Here in Chennai Bsnl 3g speed is quite good. I am getting constant 500 to 700 kbps download speed and minimum 1.5Mbps whenever i surf.
