dude you have posted a link of the seller who has no reputation. do not misguide others like this. always buy from a seller who has more than 100 feedback with a score of 100. or your money is wasted. if you buy cheapest it does not make you a genius. chose wisely.

Can u tell me netguru or anybody else, from where I can buy a 7.2 Mbps datacard. netguru can u tell me any seller in ahmedabad. I'm not used to ebay so want to buy from a local seller. Bsnl dont sell Huawei, so dont want to buy from them. thanks

Thanks everyone for the inputs. That clears all the doubts.

I just purchased an unlocked Huawei 1752 data modem for about 2350 Rs. Not sure how different it is from E1750 or E122

In Gujarat they have an offer going on right now. Recharge for Rs 119 and get 2gb day and 10gb night usage...valid for 2 months. I went to their office to get this recharge done...but thy told me that since I have a Non-Data Card sim card package, I cannot do that recharge. I'll just try recharging the same today and see if it works.

I am not sure about what type of recharge it is as I havent personally got it done yet.But another member on this forum has done it.It would be better if you ask him in his thread itself.

When a person buys a data card BSNL provides a sim with it.Its just a normal 3g sim with a "normal mobile number" which you can buy individually also. Its just that BSNL provides it as a package with data card. The activation procedure, recharging, topup are all the same for that sim too.You can also use that sim in any gsm mobile and make calls and stuff. If you have a third party data card (unlocked btw) you may use this sim in that card too.

Which services you use on that 3g sim depends on the plan you have chosen (voice plan) or (data plan). The data card has no relation to the 3g sim.You catching my drift.

I ll tell you what I did. That will clear this up.

I first got a 3g sim for 59 rupees. After it got activated, I recharged it with 120 rupees. This 120 rupees recharge put me in the GL-120 plan.I got 200MB of free usage plus 150 rupees of talktime.I used a lot of net on the mobile itself and also connected it to the pc via usb cable and did net on the pc too using mobile as a modem.I depleted the 200MB of free usage within few hours. After it got over whenever i did some net my account balance started decreasing as I got charged for data usage. This was normal. Next thing I did was got a recharge of 1500 for unlimited data plan. The actual cost is 1499 but in certain circles its 1500.Its a normal recharge.Nothing different. Once i did the recharge I got a message recharge successfully done. Then i started using net. There was no decrease in the balance amount as I was now in unlimited internet plan.Later on I got a data card from ebay.Inserted the sim into it and using it to do net on the pc.

Thats it.

Finally few of my doubts are clear after reading your post. I have just 1 more doubt though if you could help me clear out. The thing is I want to buy bsnl 3G Sim. I want to know if I buy a normal sim for Rs 59 and top it up with Rs 99 (gives unlimited 3g service for iPad for 1 day) will i be getting iPad 3g Service on the sim activated?
