That is it. Having RAS/NDIS is
crucial and important for a successful connection. In fact this needs NDIS miniport in
windows trouble shooting. Tell me when you installed Mobile Partner,
(i) did it also make a Dial up Connection names 3G Mobile? (check in dial up &
VPN connections).
(ii) Did drivers install twice for hardware by windows hardware/dricer installer? While installing, Modem drivers are installed TWICE by windows driver installer. Once when you insert USB Modem. 6-7 different drivers including for storage device will be installed. Then AFTER you have installed Mobile Partner, AGAIN a few drivers will be installed (6-7) by windows driver/hardware installer including 3g mobile drivers.
if any of the two above or RAS/NDIS is not there it is sure an internal problem.
It is not BSNL problem because I am in west BSNL and now my
Huawei e1752 is working OK & that too with original software without any upgrade/flashing or firmware change. AND it has worked on several computers ALL with fresh install. In West BSNL several such modems are working. I do get speed of 1 to 2.4 MbPS during day time also Many times, Not always.
I would suggest you try the following before doing some real deep tweaking (which is least desirable. Original software is the best) :
1. Try installing in safe mode with networking. PL ensure your internet connection is on so that installer can reach windows update server. In safe mode or normal mode, let the drivers be installed by windows hardware installer. RESTART. Install mobile partner, AGAIN windows will find new drivers and install them. After complete install of mobile partner and drivers (2nd time), remove modem and reinsert. Restart. Is it working now?
2. As it happened in some case, (links sent) reinstalling windows OS (IF POSSIBLE) may help. Keep USB Modem inserted when OS is reinstalled.
3. Try the reversible trick given at this link. If it is not working it can be reversed also AND ANYWAY, it is just installing new version of Mobile Partner only. This will need inserting a micro
sd card in Huawei modem. Seems worth a try and steps are simple.
4. Check in USB in device manager last item universal serial bus controllers Does it show following?
Intel(R)82801DB/DBM USB Universal HOst Controller - 24C2
same as above - 24C4,
same as above - 24C7
same as above - 24CD
SC USB Virtual Driver 20
USB COmposit Device
USB Mass storage device (twice)
USB Root Hub etc.
The first 5 are also related to 3G modem and if not there again there is some installation issue
Let me know outcome.
