they did cover the joint with a plastic pipe type thingy. connection was fine during major showering since i got the connection!

I hate wires with joints. Invest in a one piece high quality telephone wire, if possible. It won't cost much.

errm. you need to join the cable coming to your house to the cable going underground... :

Plastic pipe? afaik, the two (wire going to your house and wire going underground) should be joined in a mini junction box :

I would check again tomorrow morning. I think I do have this box outside my place but there is another manual joint.

Right, if you do have that box, replace the cable between the box and the entry point for your house.

im experiencing very high pings on my bb connection for the past 2 weeks or so, can you guys please confirm the same.My SNR is 30 up 12 down
even on speedtest.net its min 200ms on indian servers..
