im still getting 256kbps on home Unlimited 750 ...i called up customer care and gave a complaint ..some guy from bsnl called and asked me what was the problem and when i told him that im not getting 512kbps......he said he'll check with his higher officer and get back ..hope it'll be fixed btw is it something to do with SNR ratio and line attenuation ? Us Rate (Kbps) 253Ds Rate (Kbps) 220US Margin 24DS Margin 15Trained Modulation ADSL_2plusLOS Errors 0DS Line Attenuation 37US Line Attenuation 20Peak Cell Rate 596 cells per secCRC Rx Fast 0CRC Tx Fast 0CRC Rx Interleaved 0CRC Tx Interleaved 0Path Mode Interleaved

Try changing the ADSL modulation to G.DMT. Your downstream sync rate is low (220kbps) - no wonder you are still experiencing slower speeds.

hey im using D-Link 502T by default all these options are slected http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/6844/dlinkg.jpg

and if i select only ADSL_G.dmt then ny downstream is becoming 64kbps

When is the great BSNL broadband going to (if at all it is giong to) revise its speed/tarrifs? Airtel has already claimed it will double its speed (with probably some strings attached) from June 2010

Airtel was the first one to spoil the unlimited by bringing FUP. I don't think they will be any thing interesting. BSNL atleast gives good speeds for resonable price for average users(2.5gb or 1.5gb).

There was this Home 1000 plan I had seen about 8 months ago. It was the same as Home 500 (upto 2Mps / Night free) except that it had a data limit of 5 GB (compared to the then 2.5 of 500). Yesterday I looked at the new tariff and I was surprised to find that this plan had completely disappeared. WTF!

Airtel will double its broadband speeds starting June and now Reliance has come into the league :

Welcome to Reliance Communications

I am wondering if BSNL plans to wake up and provide us with better tariffs in the coming days.

This seems to be the cheapest alternative, 1MBPS day and 2MBPS in night for 1499 is great deal.
Is their any FUP on this plan?
