can you please share the device info page & dsl settings page of your
router coz mine downstram line rate is 4094 kbps (~4Mbps) but the max. speed i get is 3.4Mbps(~450KBps) and i should be gettings around 500kBps
@Abhi1895 you wont get more than 3.4-3.5 mbps in a 4 mbps line ! for true 4 mbps (actual 500 kB/s, you need a 6 mbps line).
This is true although i cannot confirm it, i rarely get speeds above 500 KBps, it isn't constant and varies from 370KBps and above.
treat me as a noob but please help me increase my internet speed i have BBG Combo UL 675 but i only get 2.5 mbps max down speed
and tell me please how to check my line profle on
TP-Link modem thanks
Go to Advanced Setup-> DSL-> do not enable '
ADSL 2+' as modulation but enable all of the remaining modulations.
Go to Advanced Setup-> DSL-> enable 'G.Dmt' as modulation but don't enable all of the remaining modulations.
Do this one by one for the other modulations, mostly the ADSL2, ADSL2+, AnnexM, G.Dmt, and check out the difference between each of their down/up line rate, by looking at your bsnl broadband plan, enable the modulation which gives 'Current Rate' of downstream above 3900, refer this
image, nonetheless you can simply enable all of the modulations if you want to.
Sometimes restarting the DSL might change the line rate, you can do this by going to the DSL settings tab, disable it and enable it back, or just unplug the DSL cable from your router and plug it back.
If 'SNR Margin' is lower than 10dB or 'Line Attenuation' higher than 45dB, your line quality is poor and may suffer from Internet dropping. In this case contact your ISP to check your line quality.
Range of Downstream SNR Margin:
10dB and below: Bad and difficult to get Synchronization
11dB-30dB: Normal
30dB and above: Outstanding
Range of Downstream Line Attenuation:
20dB and below: Outstanding
20dB-45dB: Normal
45dB and above: Poor and may suffer from Internet dropping
