BSNL Broadband: local area network is taking private address 169.254.208.56

Hello,I am having the same issue.i.e., not able to telenet 192.168.1.1, but findingg the internet led is on, but not able to browse,operating system is ubuntu 9.04..pinging to 192.168.1.1 result that the pockets return from 169.254.4.72..telenet to 192.168.1.1 displayed the message'It works' instead of modem page..It seem Apache2 which is running has taken the ip 192.168.1.1 ( I have installed joomla)At present I boot into other distro fedora-11 and able to telenet 192.168.1.1 access the modem.But I didn't make any change but simly reboor the modem, now internet is o.k. with me.. For me this problem is with apache..anyone has the solution how to modify the apache settings not to interfere with internet? I am totally greenhorn in this matter!Thanks lot
