I just visited portforwrd.com to know more about port forwardng.

In their guides we are required to setup a static ip address.
?? Is it possible to assign a static ip ourselves.??

I had read somewhere that bsnl charges money for a static ip address

I am using Home500c plan.and my modem is ZXDSL 831ii

They dont have a guide for portforwarding for my modem.

Please help me out.

guys i need to forward port 15963(TCP) from my Router. My Router Model is UT300R2U.I'v gone throug the instructions given here Portforward.com.the problem is that there is no such options like virtual server in my advanced tab(as given in port forward.com).The software which i wanna use is Turkojen.the instructions given is
Port Forwarding for the UTStarcom UT-300R2U
so Inorder to use this program i have to forward that given ports.Help required from you guys.
thanks.

there is no port forward option in ut300r2u provided by bsnl.use DMZ to forward all traffic to your computer by entering the internal IP(e.g.192.x.x.x)in DMZ settings.make sure that your computer internal IP is fixed & does not change.

Welcome to broadbandforum.co
For reference :
Ut 300r2u - India Broadband Wiki
Open 192.168.1.1/main.html
Click the Advanced Menu and try to see whether you get Virtual server /applications etc.
If you are using Wanminiport to dial the connection , these options may not be visible.
Otherwise follow @members/whitestar_999/ suggestions.

ur port number is now......... 64484 thanx me if this work, but this work n thanx me

What shall i do with that dmz option?i'v changed my ip to static. Now what shall i do?BTW is ther any security risk by editing this Dmz option?I just wanna forward those ports mentioned for turkojen.

@viru11
I didn get you.

when you enable DMZ all ports are automatically forwarded to your computer.after that you just have to set your firewall to accept connection on these ports.all firewalls will ask if you want to allow for this application.just select yes.
