Home 500 -> Home 500 Combo -> Unlimited 750 -> ULF 1100. This has been our plan migrations from circa 2007 to present. Our usage pattern is 2 users online about 15hrs/day. Lots of streaming videos and music. 5-6GB of torrenting. No online games. Our monthly usage doesn't average out nicely. It swings from 10GB to 20GB. As of this post, ULF 1350 seems a good fit. BUT, the lower # of free calls is what kills it for me. We max out at 400-500 calls per cycle. This would add at least Rs150 to make it 1500 pre tax for the ULF 1350 plan. I want to keep BB+phone close to 1K as possible. Wracking my head over (and I suspect some of you do too :D) whether to stay with ULF 1100. Or downgrade to ULF 900 and enjoy 4Mbps for the relatively low 8GB. Or go for the compromise ULF 1000 giving up some speed 1Mbps for more data at 15GB. I understand all three plans default to 256k after their fair usage limit. Looking for suggestions.

If you do a lot of videos, 256 Kbps won't help. Also torrents take ages to download in 256 Kbps. Choose ULF 900 only if you can manage with 256 Kbps. The best choice is ULF 1350 or UL 750. Both give a minimum of 512 Kbps. I am using UL 750. I do a lot of browsing, YouTube videos and torrents. My usage gets up to 25 -30 GB per month. Choose UL 750 if your budget is bothering you. Otherwise just opt ULF 1350.

Thanks meetdilip. I had overlooked Home UL 750. It's definitely a good option at 512 Kbps. However the free calls with the combo plans make them more attractive to me. Say I pick UL 750, total pre-tax cost including our historical min usage of 400 calls brings it to Rs 750+400=1150. In this price range ULF 1000 with its 450 free calls and 1Mbps-15GB seems more attractive. Considering my historical max bandwidth of 20GB, ULF 1000 covers 75% at 1Mbps and rest at default speed, at roughly 13% cheaper [(1150-1000)/1150].
