After log- in to your modemtype in IE address bar 192.168.1.1/look.htmlDo you get the FW version. may be different.the link you have given not opening .

I put 192.168.1.1/look.html in the address bar in both IE 8 and Firefox 3 and typed in the admin ID/pw. I only get a blank page.
======================

If you go to BSNL - Broadband Account Management
Then, without logging in, if you click the \"To Change Your broadband password Click here\" link, you get redirected to http://ssss-multiplay.bsnl.co.in:8080/ssssportal.war/

@superprash2003 update.
I remember only one user did this successfully. ( Not me !)
Another reported modem became useless.

Another loaded version in Wireless board and lost wireless options.

Virtual server/port triggering / DDNS tr_069 client options etc added.

This is my router/modem's device info -

Board ID: 96338L-2M-8M
Software Version: 3.08.02.UB.01.14_1357_100807
Bootloader (CFE) Version: 1.0.37-10.1
Firmware Version: UT300R2U.0011.01
Hardware Version: UT300R2U 2.2
Model Name: UT300R2U

http://i42.tinypic.com/wgqn1k.jpg

I downloaded the firmware zip package. It consists of upgrade files (.img) for a variety of modems. Since my model is UT300R2U, I looked in the folder named 'UTDevices'. Inside this, there are two subfolders, viz.

BSNL UTStarcom Type1 - Mark 2. This folder contains UTStarcom Type1 - Mark 2_F45.img

BSNL UTStarcom Type2 - Mark 2. This folder contains UTStarcom Type2 - Mark 2_E7F.img

Can I go ahead and try an upgrade? If yes, which of the above IMG files do I use? Please let me know.

do not upgrade firmware from bsnl until it is provided by manufacturer.i updated my modem with type1 driver and it destroy modem.

When I log in to the website mentioned by the thread starter, I too get a firmware update for my modem, but I am not sure if I should use it or not. Generally firmware updates have resulted in problems in most of the cases. I guess I am happy with the existing version in my modem. :inodding:

FIRMWARE updates at YOUR OWN RISK
