Bsnl Download Limits bypass help?

i am currently on 1000 uld paln(2mbps upto 15 gb and 256 kbps post that).Ive heard that we can bypass download limits by using and downloading with proxies and then our downloaded data is not measured by bsnl! is it true or not if not then is there any other method?thank you!

Totally untrue. As soon as you connect to BSNL network and authenticate with user-name and password, data counters are started, stopped when the session ends. It doesn't matter if the data is routed through a proxy/VPN/remote/etc server, all goes through BSNL gateway. So better not try it or all your free data will be eaten up chomp chomp...

However some people say that if your data limit is used speed would be reduced only after you restart the modem ( Authenticity not verified). In that case if you can keep your modem on 24 hours 30 days a month then you wont get speed reduction.

^^It does not work, BSNL refreshes your session every 24 hours. I've kept my modem on for days together, and my line is very stable, yet the fup does kick in.

Yup, BSNL is pretty efficient when it comes to restricting usage!

My modem is on 24x7 and yes I do get FUPed upon reaching the limit.It's just a few hrs (>24 hrs) between the time I reach the FUP limit and BSNL resets the session (renews dynamic IP) that I get full speed post FUP.
