A bad news for EVDO users. It seems BSNL is revising the tariff for EVDO services from Nov 1st. Unlimited plan will now cost Rs.999 instead of the current Rs.650. :@Other Limited plans are : 199 -- 0.5 GB299 -- 1 GB449 -- 2 GB649 -- 5 GBNo idea how existing users will be billed or when they will be migrated to the new plans. It Sucks... Now I am away from the BSNL tower and only getting 2 bars, ie around 150 kbps. If I have to pay 999 for that, let me think of another option.

^^^ as of now, I don't see any details on their website. The info posted is as per a notice I saw at one CSC when I went to take a connection.

To come to CSC any order should be posted to intranet from intranet to csc it will take atleast one week to implement it..Can you give the name of the CSC and the city.. Only for before a month that the charges are revised from 250/ to 350/ for the NIC and Rs550/ to 650/ for EVDO (even the latest increse is yet to implemented in many circle which has no roaming...As I am understanding in places where the data speed is slow customer may opt for limited data rates, for browsing with minimum charges, but there is no proposal for increasing Unlimited Plan which just has only revised..If you have cam phone you cantake the shot of the notice and post it in the forum , I can intrepret what the order is saying and double check with the intranet..On the otherhnd you can contact the JTO of the exchange, tell him, what I told , and get confirm from him.. probably he may has the copy of the same..Thanks

^^^ well... I don't have a picture to support my post. ;)But vaithy, since you may have access to intra-net you can search that for us. The circular is dated 1st Oct 09 and the number is 75/09-10. I hope you can find it with these details and post the details for us here and clear all our doubts.

In my office only one officer has access to WAN where I am using the proxy to his computer..Due to some problem I am not able to use the proxy..I'll try tomorrowPlease clarify me..whether the order has any Ref. to BSNL C.O order.. if the order is mentioning the BSNL corporate order for reference then the plan may have to be All India.. However if the there is no reference, kerala circle itself may implement some new plans on a testing basis..any way thanks for the tip

^^^ hmm... if I remember right, there was a CC to "All Circles" at the end along with some 5-6 others. So I think this will be known to all circles within the implementation date which is another 16 days away. and the circular also mentioned to monitor the feedback very closely on a month-to-month basis and report it to some higher person. (which is going to be -ve if this hike is implemented:@)

Hi,
today i spoke with BSNL officials . They told me that we should met the Commercial officer and give a written complaint that attraction of EVDO is unlimited usuage and if u raise the tarriff , we will discontinue this EVDO connection and move to other service provider . If they increase the tariff, we need to pay 1320 rupees for unlimited option. If everyone give compaint, BSNL will listen and withdraw this action. So every users of EVDO, please try to visit the commercial Officer or send email to All BSNL officials to look into this issue. Please give more publicity for issue, then 100% sure they will withdraw the action.
