Bsnl FTTH (Bharat Fiber) local infrastructure of fiber cable from outside poles to inside home installtion with pics.

@Rahul Kalani Thanks for your reply.

1. When you had submitted the official request form for ftth service in bsnl exchange and when Bsnl technician came to your house for installation?

2. Please share ping test of CloudPing.info . Share the 3rd time test.

3. Try and share the speedtest again on different servers of speedtest.net (specially test on spectra net Mumbai server) and also test on fast.com on 2.4Ghz WiFi.
If possible than try on different device.

4. Is bsnl ftth IPTV (Live TV) Service available in your city? Any information about plans and STB?
(On bsnl website there is mentioned about FTTH IPTV Service but not much information available on website).

5. Are you fully satisfied with bsnl ftth service? Any downtime?

When we connect our bsnl ONT to our personal router through bridge mode, do we have to remove our bsnl PPPOE user name and password from bsnl ONT and put it into router?
After successfully connect router through bridge mode, will landline port work in bsnl ONT?

I had submitted the form in Jan 2019 😂, then 2nd application in march or april 2019. And all this while I was trying to convince them to install the ftth at my place. It took me around 6-7 months to convince them (after numerous complaints) and finally in november they pulled the cable at my place. And then I gave them a fresh application with all the information because they couldnt find my old applications. 😅

Nopes. They dont have manpower to supply FTTH. IPTV is not even feasible. First atleast they should provide the FTTH connections to customers.

Yes I am genuinely satisfied. The plans are better than JIO. And in my city there's only BSNL FTTH and JIO at some places. Downtime yes twice for 3-4 hours but it was for all the customers coz of some server issue.

@Rahul Kalani Thanks for reply.

1. Have you tried the speedtest again on different servers of speedtest.net?
Please specially test on spectra net Mumbai server and also test on fast.com on 2.4Ghz WiFi by different mobile. Also try both tests on your laptop by 2.4Ghz wifi but not by LAN.

2. What link speed shows you in your mobile and laptop on 2.4Ghz WiFi?
Also share you mobiles and laptop Model numbers.

3. On which date, you had officially submitted the last request application for ftth connection in bsnl office and after how many days later (date and month) they installed the connection in your home?
I want to know how much time they generally takes to install connection after taking advance money?

@sidg2 is your home nearby bsnl exchange providing ftth.? If so they would give you the connection. Around 100ms i think

If not as for most people it's outsourced and provided by the LCO.
If there is LCO fiber going nearby your home/office all that is required is to pull up few fibre wire into your home. This LCO should have bsnl ftth in their service.
If not, unless an until an LCO comes by and lays fibre with bsnl service,
There is no hope for bsnl ftth.
Once they have laid line its a matter of couple of days for activation. For broadband and your new Landline. ☺️👍
