For ONT bridge configuration,

Note:
1. Do not DELETE other profiles until you create Bridge profile and save/add it.
2. Set up ONT and Asus separately. Connect only after verifying the configuration.

1. Take Backup of ONT in working state. (Save configuration)
2. Take screenshot of WAN status Page with PPPOE and Voice (if you use voice then don't delete it). Make sure to include your PPPOE WAN MAC from that status page in screenshot as you need to enter it on the router.
3. Create Bridge profile with MTU 1500, Enter your PPPOE vlan, Service mode Internet, 802.1p (null), Disable the LAN DHCP and bind the LAN ports with the bridge profile. (Leave wifi ON and Unticked to access ONT via Wifi)
4. Delete the previous PPPOE profile.
5. Make sure that the WAN MAC last two digits of the Bridge Profile are not the same as PPPOE profile WAN MAC from the screenshot.

@!!..PD..!! How will I access ont config page (192.168.1.1) after ont is out in bridge mode?

If lco pushes default config and seta ont back to route, then both Asus and Netlink will have same mac. Can that create problem?

Thanks for the detailed steps of setting it up.

1. Using Wifi. Please read the steps first.
2. It will create problems and you can see that your internet isn't working if LCO does that. No way to go around it.

Rest is up to you!

1) Sorry missed that part where you said to leave wifi on.

Alternatively can I connect ont in bridge mode to laptop with ethernet cable and access it's admin page( 192.168.1.1 page)?

2) Ok, so net not working would be a symptom to look for if I suspect lco pushing default configs.

@a.banerjee Asus won't have secondary connection. Only way is to SSH which is complicated for @xyz111
Its better to leave wifi unbound or one of the two lan ports.

If you leave the 100 mbps lan port and bind the 1000 mbps port then you can use the 100 mbps lan port to access the ont on laptop via ethernet cable. (Same principle as Leaving the WiFi on and not binding it to the bridge profile).

About the second concern, it hasn't happened to me so Idk if it will happen to you. But if internet stop working and pon light on ONT is green then you can login to ONT and check the profiles. TBH, I never had to check the ONT and in rare cases I use wifi and access ONT on phone instead of another LAN cable and laptop.
