I am using windows7 laptop, iPhone and here is my problem
- Whenever i connect to my wireless internet from my laptop i have to run "ipconfig /release and ipconfir/renew" to get connected to internet
- Whenever i connect to my wireless internet from my iphone i have to go to settings wireless on & off to get connected to internet

At first glance, this looks more like a local DHCP issue.
Couple of suggestions (I'll focus on your laptop for the moment):

[*]Connect your laptop to the router using a LAN cable and turn wireless radio off on the laptop. Do you get the same issue (ipconfig/release, renew)?
[*]Did you assign static IP address on your laptop? If yes, change that to get the IP address automatically.
[*]Can you post your router's DHCP settings?
