i am selling a phone on olx. since the phone was originally in my name is there a chance i wud be on the hook if its misued by the buyer or something? and what is to be done to keep my ass safe.

Take his signature on a sheet saying Phone model XYZ with IMEI xxx was sold from you to him on this date etc.

Or just take a pic with him holding the mobile you're selling. That's enough if police comes knocking on your doors.

Just follow them discreetly after they buy the phone, enter their house without suspicion, hide beneath the couch and click the photo when they are using the phone.
