Well, they said they will call me up and let me know the details of how to proceeed with the replacement/refund. They never said they would send a replacement themselves. They just said they'll clal and let me know. They were kinda vague.
 
so you have to wait for their call. i do not see what the confusion is all about? i guess they would ask you to get a DOA document from htc so it would be wise to get it tomorrow morning without wasting any more time.
 
yeap. htc service center would file a request with the company and would get a confirmation in a hour or two and would give you a crappy looking document stating that the company has instructed the seller to replace the phone. BTP would take this document and the phone and give you a new unit. they would get a new unit from HTC through that document.

So @chromaniac: They called me up and said they would arrange for a pickup and then send the new replacement ASAP. They didn't mention at all about a DOA. Should I assume I don't need one?I went to the HTC Center yesterday and there servers were down (including today). Otherwise I would have gotten it anyway. So should I just wait for the pickup and that's it now?
 
Think u better wait for a pickup, as they would be replacing ur mobile. Tell them this time not to mess up
 
yeap. they appear to be replacing it completely on their own without the need of a DOA document.
 
Only after I tweeted them saying that the person hadn't come to pick it up did they call me. They called me and told me I needed a DoA certificate. Now I'll have to go back to the HTC service center. Dammit. Their servers have been down for the past few days!
