Cable Channel prices Slashed

The TN govt.announced various offers for the Cable Operators,the tax is reduced for a considerable amount,also seperate MSO to be started soon.

The Cable TV operators forum head told "it is a welcome one & we will reduce the price from 100 to 75.& even less.

so we can expect a change from them hopefully.

Even though they reduce the amount. Then also what is the use. Will they provide sports channels. So cable connection total waste.

Cable connection is not a Total waste...In chennai the paychannels are not available bcoz of the SCV's dominationIn Tambaram(Out of chennai) & TN all the pay channels are available @ 150rs.so here the Government has to take steps regarding the MSO in Chennaiby June viewers will be provided all the channels according to their need by STB.

It is not becaz of SCV domination bai , it is just becaz of CAS.Thambaram is not under CAS so u are getting pay channels.

ya i had a seperate cable connection last year in the same area the service provider provided a lot of channels & the amount is 125 rsSTAR Channels,NGC,CN,HBO,DISCOVERY etc.The service provider discontinued the cable service due to trouble by SCV.

The main problem is not SCV , it is only the CAS system in Chennai. Only chennai peoples suffering from this.. after tambaram there is no CAS system so they r getting all pay channels. It is government rule. But why only the Chennai people have to suffer. If they want they have to implement to whole Tamil nadu or india. But why only to Chennai the CAS System. So the peoples in chennai should not watch the pay channels. if they wish to watch they have to get set up box or dth where we have to pay more than Rs.250/-. but the people other than chennai gettting all the pay channels for under Rs.150/-. so who is benefiting. only the Non-CAS peoples are benefiting. But the CAS CHENNAI people is suffering. Why the f**king CAS is implemented in Chennai only. i am really worried about this. Government should implement this all people or they have to canel this in Chennai. Chennai people mattum iluchavayangala....

@raja2431, I understand your trouble with CAS. But your statement "If they want they have to implement to whole Tamil nadu or india." means if you cant see any pay channels, then others should also be left blank. If someone is getting all paychannels at cheaper rate, let them enjoy. Anyway you are in Chennai. CAS is mandatory there. And soon all other towns will come under the CAS umbrella.

What i am trying to say is that if they implemented to all before some years then the set up boxes price might be reduced before so many years and every one might be benefited. As it was not happened the stb are very cost for so many years. Thats why we cant able to buy and really wasted more than 8 years without good tv entertainment.

Yes...Tambaram(UPTO NEW PERUNGALATHUR) is also UNDER CAS....

In Vandalur only,there is no cas
