Can I plug in GPON/EPON into an SFP Port on a network switch and get rid of ONT?

I tried with Nokia G-010S-A GPON SFP in a SFP to ethernet media converter. But TataPlay FTTH uses proprietary shit for GPON authentication. So mere changing/spoofing GPON S/n, PLOAM Password, MAC address, VLAN ID doesn't work to establish a successful PPPoE connection. I upgradedG-010S-A's firmware, did all kinds of stuff. So even though GPON State is O5, PPPoE still doesn't connect. So far I have had no luck with both MTNL FTTH as well as TataPlay FTTH. Though the TataPlay technician lied that they have stopped using Huawei OLTs, OMCI dump of my Nokia stick indicates they are still using HWTC which is Huawei. That is the worst OLT to use and has known compatibility issues.

With such a setup, my money seems to have gone waste. But I remember reading somewhere that such a setup should work with Airtel.

@rajil.s not sure about 4-port emulation, did not want to risk with multiple connection to airtel using same credentials. I dont use voice, but this sfp module shown two VLAN ID 980 and 666. I'm using 980 for internet and i assume 666 is for voice. So yeah it should work ideally. But before this i was using Huawei ONT and i couldn't make it work with voice. And i did not had any use for voice, so i left it.

@phattunit I added GPON SN, Vendor ID, Software and Hardware version.

@hariselio Does the SFP module get really hot? In my case both the ZyXEL and Huawei units gets so hot that I can't touch the outside of the module with my fingers for more than a few seconds. This happens with an uptime of just 15-20 minutes.

yes, it gets hot but its acceptable range, around 50C when there is no ventilation. On ceiling fan, it shows 42C. This particular model comes with heat sink, so its comparatively better i guess.
