CANCELLED BSNL DataOne service

BSNL seems unable to meet its home customers Dataone expectations. At Rs 2/MB from today, DataOne is utterly worthless for any serious broadband user. BSNL does not have the common sense as yet of MTNL which is offering at least a night unlimited usage plan at a very reasonable cost.Bharti-Airtel is offering 128k unlimited, permanently at Rs 900. 256kbps unlimited plan expected shortly as well.CANCELLED DataOne service today. It is just NOT worth it anymore. As broadband customers we should never accept any plan which places data limits. In the rest of the world, government telcos are offering much higher speed DSL(1MB+) ,unlimited usage at less than Rs 999 and there the labour costs are much higher. Vote with your checkbook and say Goodbye to BSNL DataOne untill they get some commonsense. If no, unlimited usage plan is offered, coupled with zero customer service, makes BSNL Dataone the worst.-P.S: Am yet to get a reply to my email sent to BSNL Deputy Director General (Broadband) Mr. Lav Gupta ([email protected])The utter disregard of customer service seems to start from the top in BSNL. :( :( BSNL needs to remember as India changes and goes foward that there will be more competitors offering greater service at similar or better rates and its customers will have choices and shabby treatment or price gouging will one day ruin BSNL unless it changes drastically. As of today BSNL Dataone is a waste. Airtel 128k unlimited is much better.

256 - Rs 2000 - 50 Gb
256 - Rs 3000 - Unlimited
512 - Rs 250 - 1 Gb
512 - Rs 500 - 3 Gb

CMD SIR, INSTEAD OF HAVING SO MANY SLABS BSNL CAN OFFER BASIC SLAB RS 250/= FOR 2GB AND OVER ABOVE THAT BILLING BASED ON USAGE .(RATE OF RS. 50/=PER GB)

As per the tariff you still have 1 GB Free DL/UL per month. then you can switch to dialup.

after a long time, saw a really positive comment... `bsnl' should offer something like 5gb and then charge say something like rs.50 etc. per additional gb :P Pupudada!

The issue is do we have a choice. Not everyone has Airtel DSL in their area and I find Hathway not very reliable and speeds not as good as BSNL Dataone. I think DSL is one of the most reliable way of getting high speed internet here.Btw, Hathway Freeway regular (unlimited @ 256Kbps).
