Hi guys i on bsnl dataone... i dont know the plan but its surely 256kbps i thinkthe problem is ... the connection doesnt stay for 5 minutes.. it keeps on disconnecting ...and i think i messed up with the dsl configration @ 192.168.1.1since i dont know the password for the connection ... is there a way to change everything to default .. my modem is UT300R2U .. i dont the firmware number...please helpme guys ..

but if that resets the password... i dont have it right now ...and just tell me whether this ffrequent disconnection has anything to do with servers ???guys also tell me is there any diagnostic test that i can run to see that its not the modem problem...and is there any latest firmware for my modem ??and could this be due to rain ?? and wht is the bsnl cc number ?? and is there a way to receover my password

this could be due to low SNR.. go to http://192.168.1.1 and go to the Status page and post your SNR.. ensure all telephones are connected after splitter.. also incase password is stored in your modem and you dont know it, you can find out the password, by going to WAN page, thenn click on the edit button next to vpi/vci 0/35 .. and go to the page where you see your username and your password in **** .. (keeping clicking next till you come to the page).. then view the source of the page by pressing ctrl+ u .. incase of firefox. right click and click on this frame and then click on view source. You should see your password in that file..

i got the password....sorry but where is snr information ??? under which heading ...please help me out ...

when you go to http://192.168.1.1 .. you should find SNR , it could either be in the main page itself, or under a page called STATUS.. look for STATUS option.. you should see SNR somewhere .. with a value.. upstream and downstream value..

Adding a splitter to my parallel line solved the noise and disconnection problem. It is working fine for 6 hrs now.Admin pls delete this post. it was to be posted on some other thread.
