D2H HD DVR for Rs5000??

I really dont want to be in your shoes!! Its a really tricky situation - when i got it, that time too there was uncertainty about HD.....but i was so desperate to remove the Cable Guy, that i went ahead with the Standard STB.....

PS: I am fed up of posting the features of the cable guy & his connection.......it was In Cablenet - a Local for Mumbai

well if you have a setup capable of HD display, it is worthwhile to wait for HD STB. provided you are ready to pay a premium for the handful of HD channels that are available in India.

The maximum you will have to pay, as per current trend is Rs60, for 8 HD channels in Sun direct. Cant say its a premium.

dunno. but some carriers are apparently charging a premium for 1/2 channels i believe. in the end you cannot really predict how many channels d2h hd would offer and at what prices. and 60 bucks for 8 channels in addition to 300 bucks for regular channels is pretty darn expensive. coz in the end, you are unlikely to watch all of these eight channels on a regular basis.
