D2H HD Settop box packages

Friends, I am planning to buy a HD STB. I currently use hathway on a 29'' Onida CRT. I may go for a LCD later this year during diwali. I want to buy an HD STB for the future use. If i own an HD STB, should i subscribe to HD channels compulsarily? can i subscribe to cheap gold packages/diamond without HD channels with a HD STB I am confused. Yes, u can subscribe to packages without HD channels. They cant force u to buy HD.....I have an HDTV, but still, i wont be buying HD pack, coz of its costliness!!

@vedabetter buy normal STB now.by diwali, HD STB price shud come further down. and they shud be more stable as well with better user interface too.so u will get the latest one and they might have upgrade offer for existing users.

Yes, he is right veda....D2h is known for cheap packages (cost wise!!).....this relatively high priced STB should be falling down, as also, the package costs may become affordable.And if u buy a SD box now, then also by Diwali, u will have recovered the Equipment cost that u pay first up.

If the LCD is HD, go for a HD STB, definitely makes a noticeable difference

Hathway is launching HD by end of May. Better go for hathway HD rather than these DTHs. Your monthly charges would be much less with hathway compared to any DTHs and you will get all the channels
