haha. why would i have a multimeter with me! i am not an electrical engineer does not matter if i kills the batteries. they are dead for me in its current form anyways.
haha ok. even the electrician we call does not have it with him. though the inverter guy that comes to our place carries it. i wonder if i should call him and ask him to check the batteries if they are ok. should clear the doubts for me. sent a mail to APC. i guess i would test it out later tonight running ubuntu. does not want to risk with windows. i already suffered 5-6 bad shutdowns on the faulty unit that was replaced earlier this month.
as i continue to struggle with my own unit. i have spent more than 35K on this piece of shit and i am supposed to get just 4 hours of backup while i get just around 1 hour of backup... my suggestion to anyone here is to stay away from APC branded UPS. period.
sick and tired of getting the ****ing exide battery replaced. finally contacted microtek to send a rep to my place to discuss my requirement and what solution they have to offer. hopefully they would have something suitable and it would not cost me a fortune. i am done with APCUPS
