Congrats on acquiring a modem. Hope you got a user manual and or CD.
I have bought a new Telenet ADSL2 + Router. Whether this type is good for dataone connectivity?

Should have asked the question earlier before buying it !
Luckily,Yes !. It was used by Tata Indicom, and similar to Beetel 220BX modem .

Did you get the new telephone connection ?
Send an email to [email protected] to expedite your BB connection .

Thanks for your suggestions...I have informed the local exhange that I had purchased a modem.They gave some ip address and asked me to wait for two days until the username and password gets created.On my next post i will include my modem specifications and connectivity details regarding the SNR values and so on.

He will have to wait some more days for 14digit Portal ID to check his usage !
Probably IP address as 192.168.1.10 or 192.168.1.3
Primary DNS 218.248.255.145
secondary DNS 61.1.96.69.
Default Gateway 192.168.1.1 ( for modem/router).

Its irritating.... When I called the employee who is in BSNL for username and password, he said that it will take three more days for creation. Is there any other way to get it soon? What is portal Id?

Did you send email to address I gave ?
Did you get the new Telephone connection ?
Para two:
Portal ID is 14 digit for checking usage Password " password'
. separate to USER ID/password. given for BB connection.

I have send mail to that mail address. But no reply for the past 4 days. Still I didnt get my UN,PWD and Portal Id details. When I called them they said that it will take 3 more days...:wall: A guy from BSNL said that the username and password creation has been globalised and the centre is in Banglore. Thats why its taking lot of time.... Any alternate ways to get my un and pwd soon??????????

send complaint if you have a BSNL telephone number ( give std code for Coimbatore ) & activated.

Thanks to God. Finally I got the user name and password. My connection speed is good.(1750kbps). But when I download through link-removed the speed is around 400kbps.Any suggestions to increase the speed? 1)Which download manager should you suggest for having great download speeds? 2)Can u send me the web address of torrent sites from which i can download tamil movies?
