^True that .. I mean, when you say luxury, in the current setup... this is what you would call luxury. Having a simple car, no servants, and a/c in bedroom with basic cable & everything basic (mobile connection, gas connection, grocery) cannot be termed luxury & that itself will go beyond 20-30k.

the interest on 1 cr won't be 10% for ever. and on top of tht 33% will be TDS effectively giving u around 6.7% LOL. considering inflation @ 10%+ annually u will actually lose money(purchasing power) at the rate of anywhere between 3-7% / yr !! there go all ur dreams of luxurious life :p (down the drains of mumbai)

Precisely the point. In a decade or two, we would probably be thinking the same about 10 crores.

the government should give every poor family a guaranteed job!! which they need most so that they can run there families with the growing rise of prices in India rather than giving them a MOBILE Phone!! it will only cost them more money!! if they want to use it!! so will they be able to use it!!!!!

right, give them job, so that by earning from job, they could buy mobiles themselves, or it may be a perk of their job as well, thats the way it should be.:thumbup1:

Aah, I missed 5 precious thread. Need to read later on but can someone confirm that, Are they giving Smartphones to Poor & illiterate peoples to make them Tech Savvy ??Also, Which Service Provider is into the game ?? My Guess " Airtel " :D

100 rs monthly expenditure per phone . What will they do with 200 Mins. order food ? 100Rs per month will give them more happiness than phone .

Come on, it has to be a government service provider - BSNL/MTNL in this case.

Don't know know bro that Mr.Mittal is now a days doing international tours with MMS ?? So, It was a wild guess ;)
