Excitel Broadband User Experience in Gurgaon

What is the RX side of optical power you are receiving?
You can check this in your ONU.
If you are too lazy to check by unplugging ONU and shit, dont worry, just create an interface for static IP in openwrt for ONU and choose any IP in the subnet of your ONU's IP.
Then you can access ONU without doing any hardware changes.

You are talking about the cable which came from pole to your house? It has a splice in midway?

Yeah. It got cut one day coz some truck broke it. I filed a complaint. It was fixed without me getting involved so they joined it on route using spare cable they left outside. It didn't affect connection quality much but it's still a bother.

Brother @Skeeter, are you speaking from personal experience?
I ask since I had tried this, but apparently, it didn't work. Maybe I was doing something wrong?
Can you please guide step by step, if that's no trouble?

@tr1k0N4 if your ONT/ONU has IP 192.168.3.1 then in TP-Link router, select secondary connection and enter 192.168.3.69 as IP, 255.255.255.0 as subnet mask and 192.168.3.1 as the gateway, it should work.

@Skeeter, I see, thanks!
Few more queries:
1. Do I need to keep the DHCP server enabled in the ONU?
2. Do I need to add anything in the static routes in the router?
