@havoc LOL! Bro I am a noob on IPv6 and trying to refresh my old networking fundas. Jeez! This is complicated in comparision. The biggest issue being using hex instead of numerals in the addresses. Leaves me cross eyed at times. Anyways I have to get familiar since it is subject of interest to an IT guy like myself. Reading a book..no kidding
@Lolita_Magnum I am not sure how Jiofibre WAN has been configured. I think one of the blokes with a Jio connection like @tatyasky can answer?
Stateful. Even if I put google v6 DNS servers, on reboot, it defaults to Jio DNS proxy servers.
Jio Fiber and Tata Play Fiber both have almost same IPv6 implementation. My Asusrouter doesn’t get its own WAN IPv6. Asus engineer who remoted into my PC came to conclusion that Tata Play and Jio both are to blame and as expected, ISPs blame Asus firmware.
@tatyasky for pfsense I read somewhere you get only a fe80 LL address on the WAN and a PD on the LAN provided of course track interface is on. That's what happens to me too..no GUA on the WAN connection. Same thing for pfS on Airtel. But their ONT's WAN receives a GUA.
I wish Airtel comes to my area soon, I can't tolerate excitel anymore. Speed and no connectivity issues.
As soon as my plan expires I'll be having disconection for sure.
@Life_Warrior airtel isnt so cool always , internet was down due to main fiber cut at the tower and airtel peeps took almost 24 hours to fix it. Just fixing fiber took 24 hours for them.
@Life_Warrior excitel started giving problems to you? Did it started happening after new plans launched & other OLT upgrades etc. Or it also used to happen before?
