Excitel Fiber Broadband Experience in Delhi NCR

Naah Airtel have less subscribers per port, same with jio.
So when dp boxes are full they just don't split fiber like LCO you said who are ready to give connection in jio dp box thread.
It was one of the reason why my excitel speed was 80mbps(even to local excitel's servers) on 300mbps plan in 2nd lockdown typical evening.
Acc to lineman my LCO have 1000+subscribers on 2 OLTs & one of that is EPON not even GPON with 1.25gbps download speed per port.

But vro all LCO's aren't the same 😁

Mine uses EPON too but users are just 200-300 under him. Like just for example I get 11.7 dBm power because he has connected me to the main line. So that's how it is.

My speeds in 2020 were always amazing. I never faced any slowness. Even the buffer bloat was good and still the best. Doing tests it goes to 850 Mbps and comes down to actual plan speed around 350 Mbps. So yeah my LCO is awesome that's why I've never faced any issues with excitel. Maybe that's why I can't relate with others in terms of bad experience because I never had one. Except from few days having 1-2 ms higher ping while speedtests & for few days I was routed to Mumbai which wasn't any issue but now it's again New Delhi. So overall I'm more than happy with excitel. I know majority will disagree but guys that's my luck my LCO is hardworking and willing to work & provide best services 😁

Similar experiance as above for Delhi.
Have been using excitel from past 5 years. Ethernet had its issues. But ever since they moved me to fiber have not had any major downtime from the past 2 years. Apart from fiber cuts which happen once in 3-4 months for a few hours max.
I recently bought a 1 year plan for 200mbps. Have been a smooth sailing with that as well.

Having said so it hugely depends on your LCO. A different LCO a few kms away can have insanely shit service.

See how was @a.c 's experience. It all depends on your luck how the LCO in your area is.

Also @igloo vro & other guys there is a thing like if we compare excitel vs Airtel & Jio it's not fair. As igloo said let's compare on the basis of distribution and splitting. I know Airtel & Jio does way less splitting than excitel but that's also different area wise. Also there is something which I've mentioned in JF post that these giants won't give connections to needy is the box is full & demand is low. But excitel guys will. Or should I say LCO. I know they have their own problems but frankly I've never faced it. Maybe if later on my LCO gets high on weed I will but I doubt his 15+ years of izzat will let him do it.

Now back to the main thing. Airtel & jio has it's own flaws we can see here even recently many users left Airtel even discussing that in this forum. We can't simply make a company God like. Ambani baba is evil so does Sunil Bhai... Competition in market is always better. I bet if Jio, Airtel weren't present excitel would have provided poor service but they didn't. Even though Airtel, Jio came in my area by 2020 before that I'm using excitel sinch 2019 (Jaipur Launch). They were and still very good.

Alright I have to do some stuff so I have a small amount of time left right now but still I'll say about we are factoring lesser splitting of users by Airtel, Jio etc. We should also see how that compares to excitel. Take 300 Mbps plan for example. Jio & Airtel costs 1499₹ for it with tax it's 1768. Let's assume that 15% discount Airtel gives on yearly plan. So per user it's roughly around 1500₹ (going to company's pocket). Now Excitel's 300 Mbps cost is just 500₹ including GST & 423₹ without GST. So for the same money Jio, Airtel etc. can have lesser users per port because price is already so much high. It's like 3.5 times higher than excitel price. So what's the problem if Excitel is adding twice the number of users? Or maybe more than that. We are getting good speeds on the stuff we do from uploading to YT or downloading heavy games etc. I can't comment on other stuff as I don't do that much. But I've never faced any bottlenecks. Maybe I will in the future but time will tell. That's how it works guys. Now suppose we take Jio's 30 Mbps plan which costs around 399₹ means it's just 24₹ cheaper than Excitel's 300 Mbps plan. So technically jio can add 10 times the users for that 300 Mbps bandwidth. And when we compare both we can clearly see the difference. Same with Airtel. We can get 400 Mbps Excitel's plan for 40 Mbps Airtel's plan. Same 10 times the users. If Airtel is getting 10×499=4990₹ for same 400 Mbps bandwidth & excitel is getting just 499₹ who's the real bastard Is? So that's it. Even if I get lesser speeds on few things here and there (Which I haven't personally felt I ever did at least for the things I regularly do). I am really happy with it. At least they're telling us we are peered with these people and we can't promise speeds apart from these services. Maybe their team people aren't that much technical or whatever... But at least from my & many other happy user's perspective they're simply among the best. If the maximum speeds on Airtel we get is 40 Mbps on everything with that 3.3 TB cap I won't consider it a competition. Because excitel will definitely leave it behind in many aspects. So that's my experience. I know may will disagree but guys that's the thing we humans can never agree to anything 😂... That's why we have wars and all sort of stuff. Whatever so yes if Excitel starts giving me problems and headaches then I'll just call up Airtel and bang new connection. But right now I'm not going anywhere.

Also Jio & Airtel guys took many days even weeks (Jio) when Electrical Guys cut all fiber cables in our area at night. But the first guy that came in the morning was our LCO's guy. He looked at me and said "bhaiya ye kon karke chala gaya". I've never seen that thing in any Jio or Airtel guy. He called another guy who came on his EV and they spliced the lines & bam my internet started working again. Airtel guys came few days later and forget about jio their fat pipes were lying like a dead snake 😂... ACT & Tata Play guys also came by noon. GTPL etc. Local guys were also there till night. It all depends on area. That's what I wanted to say. Thanks for reading if you're still doing that... But yeah that's it. See you guys soon 🤗

Yes, the drive and YouTube upload speeds were capped for mobile but I tested it on the Chaiwala's airtel 200 Mbps plan I got similar results. So I verified it was capped by Google.

And about Google play store speed fluctuations as you've also shared your play store speeds I can confirm that it's also due to Google's capping or poor ISP QOS. Even my Chaiwala's Airtel Xtreme was behaving like 18-23 MB/s on play store (fluctuating).

And yes @Lolita_Magnum I can totally agree with you for the problems you're facing. I know their technical team is just...😂 You already know as you've got to meet and talk to them. But overall I feel it's good. As I never had any major issues with it except fiber cuts. Which I already mentioned. Man my English is getting really really poor since 12th. Mimicking that RIP English stuff actually affected my grammar & all. Earlier grammarly used to correct a lot less but now it's a lot. Anyways... But I'm planning to do a lot of stuff by end of this year when I'll get hands on my new gaming laptop. Right now I can't play big games which requires public IP etc. Maybe then I'll start cursing Excitel & would need a lot of help from you & other really helpful people from this forum. Right now my only thing is uploading YT videos and streaming/downloading many videos/movies/games etc and excitel is really shining there without hiccups. Right now I'm in touch with google team to see if they can help me (I probably don't think it's gonna happen as they can't & won't remove the cap just for one user 😂).

And yeah what's your status? Did they pick up the ONU?

You do know that big games except GTA don't really require port forwarding right??

Yes, about the ONU. The local LCO accepted he can't really do anything but not like he is gonna pay me back for the internet plan.
I tried his phone multiple times today for the ONU pickup, but he didn't answer. I'll wait a few days until I need to get radicle again.
