I have both Airtel and Excitel in a load balancing fashion setup on a pfsense router. I dug out some stats over past 1 month.

Airtel

Gr5ckMx.webp

Excitel

PyPunw4.webp

Excitel dropped out many times over the month while Airtel has been rock stable.

That solely depends on your LCO.
Some LCO's do their job good whereas others do bad.

You can't blame excitel directly for this because users like me are getting great services even more than Jio/Airtel so no complaints from here.
It's due to the LCO.

Have you complained?
Has Excitel guy ever visited your premises?
Because if your LCO is trash then he will just shamelessly close the tickets.

Better to get excitel tech at your premises and show them these results.
Forum members can just suggest you.
Rest of the work needs to be done by you.

come on dude, i know you love excitel and its not a bad isp but it definitely drops more packets than airtel when i had it.

its not just the lco, i have a pretty decent one and even then it drops occasionally. no Excitel lco is going to care if network goes down for a few seconds. they don't care about packet loss either.

That's what I said

CC willl look at sessions on their portal and will test it on CMD and will take screenshot of packet loss issue & send it to their technical team which will then send ground tech team to check issues at your end and at LCO's end.

In January when I had to change the Router I went to the LCO with the technical team guy and that's why I know. That guy has full access to OLT's and all.

OLT cannot be used to troubleshoot network quality.
Blame LCOs all you want but remember, it was excitel's decision to rely on LCOs they are equally to blame for this mess too.
Also not all Excitel NOC is competent. Speaking from experience.

Yes, when you outsource people this is how you will end up. Have seen same negligence from Airtel LCO cities too. But this is a quicker way to expand everywhere and make presence.

I think what Airtel will do in future is replace all LCO's with their own guys. Same thing with excitel I think (I'm talking about the time after many years when these players will mature).
