Really how you know that?
If u had a laptop with gigabit card, it would be better to run into conclusions. Speed on wifi depends on many other factors, any network guy can tell u. U himself said changing mtu improved speed for u, which indicates there is something else also. Rest u know better how ur lco is. I say things based on my experience and urs can be different than mine. Don't take it otherwise we both use excitel but our experiences are different

I bricked my Netgear r6220 in hurry of reverting back from openwrt(was testing to get 300mbps speed).
Now recovery is a task in itself.

I am living on rent bro , so thats why cannot afford one more wired connection instead thinking yo buy a 4g airtel hotspot, speed here are insane 100+ mbps as tower nearby

Ah. Excitel is hugely reliant on LCO to provide last mile service. I would suggest calling up the LCO see if they do anything. Usually they are turds once they get your money
Lco is moron says take fiber why to give more money will take jio fiber after this

Better buy unlocked modem like mr100 was 2900 in last sale. You can change to whichever with better network in area. Once plan is over try vi 699 plan which is kind of unlimited if you make 50mins of voice usage every month.

You were right. Though problem was ethernet cable rather than laptop. My laptop has gigabit card, read gigabit word in adapter name lol.
Was able to achieve 250mbps+ speed. Now getting router location changed to connect via cable instead.

Honestly, excitel has completely disappeared from my locality. I called up excitel area sales person, he says even copper has been removed let alone fiber.
