Facebook now support push notifications from their website on both desktop and mobile

Right.

Log into Facebook | Facebook should show desktop and mobile if your browser is supported. for me it's not showing desktop on firefox beta.

This is still not supported on Firefox. I think 1 or 2 months has passed since Firefox added support for push notifications.

Plus no news on google search stating that Facebook is planning to implement.

I get local notifications in Android. I use FB in a browser, not app.

Feature still missing!! i.e. facebook alerts without having Facebook open in Firefox

Weird thing is - it seems that I am the only one in whole world who wants this feature!!

As I can not find anyone else asking for this feature when I do google search.
