बेडा गरक. i did not even see that part of the page. i just noticed the FUP details at the bottom. what is wrong with Airtel, these details do not even make any sense. looks like a copy paste piece of shit.

calling customer care was a big waste of time.

first she told me that 1mbps is till 8GB after that 256kbps.

i told her to check the plan again.

then she came back. 1mbps is till 25GB (or was it 15? i forgot). after that 256kbps.

i am so close to discarding everything airtel in my house right now.

Just called CC, was on the old 999 plan(256) with 100 free calls. Now the speed is upgraded to 512 with a FUP of 8GB, but I still get the 100 free calls. If i change my plan to the new 999, then I will lose the free calls.Take care of that if u change ur plan

i am taking care of finding ways to kick airtel's buttocks. this is pure nonsense.

I just got an email from airtel presence from this Mr. Rakesh Kumar. It seemed like an automated message telling me that my IPTV "related" was being looked into. (whatever that means):frown:@Sushubh I really feel for you man. If this 15 GB cr@p is true, you may have to stick with the 1899 plan. Basically, you are s@cre@ed if this 15 GB nonsense turns out to be true.So am I. I may ditch IPTV for broadband if this thing goes on. SERIOUSLY. not joking. Airtel thinks we are donkeys, their IPTV "customers". FU@k@rs!!!:@

hehe. well i have received three calls since morning about my email to airtel guys. all of these were from folks who have no idea what i am talking about. i have asked my question in very details on what specific information i am looking for. they still do not get it. they are still trying to find out the information i want. and what i want? FUP on earlier 1mbps ul IPTV planFUP on new 1mbps ul IPTV planone of the guys even asked me where i was checking the plan details on the airtel website. i mean. comeon guys. you know WTF you are doing with your new plans. you need to be prepared to answer some very simple questions!

What they are probably doing is reading from that very same TRAI pdf file. They are taking their FUP info from that middle part of the document. They are probably missing the FUP info given in the bottom right corner. This is a MASSIVE fail of epic proportions. These guys have NO clue what they are talking about. And If I am wrong and 15 GB is indeed the new FUP on these plans, one should abandon these IPTV thingy and migrate to broadband only which may have more reasonable FUPs.Honestly, this will be the only option left for people who download more than 15 GB a month. go from IPTV to broadband.

i assumed broadband plans have similar FUPs. 15/25GB 10GB does not make any difference. does it?

I am assuming 512-1mbps unlimited broadband plans will have 100 GB Fair Usage Policy. Anything less than that is unacceptable to me.

and from what i have heard and seen... the max FUP is 25GB these days. and speeds are dropped to 256kbps.

if that's the case then I will have to stick with my current 1499 plan. No other option for me.I do not want to migrate to MTNL. Only reason I will is if airtel reduces FUP on my current plan as well. Then I will have to go and look for plans on the Donkey Kong service called MTNL! :notallowed:
