Hey there!
I am really confused why Jio is so much slow with Fastly CDN, except for the Indian POPs (for example, Reddit is extremely quick, because it uses Indian servers). Most of us are aware that Imgur is extremely slow on JioFiber, and they also use Fastly CDN.
Recently, Steam has been serving me using Fastly CDN too (instead of Akamai), and the result is just horrible... even worse than Imgur. It is taking an eternity to load anything on Steam.
Using Cloudflare WARP, or switching to my local ISP fixes the problem, but this is so annoying.
I can see packet loss when I ping their IP address on JioFiber, so I assume that's the reason.
Contacting JioFiber support results in nothing but trouble. Their engineers are pretty useless for stuff like these, and they can't even forward anything like this to any team like NOC or something, even if they understand that the problem is beyond their control.
Fastly CDN NOC team was very quick to respond, but they couldn't find anything on their end either. Just told me that Steam and Imgur shouldn't have been using Fastly MBZ200 zone for India, though that doesn't seem to the problem either, because WARP and local ISP are able to load them instantly.
That's it for my rant. If anyone is brave enough to report this to Jio team, please do so. I don't want to deal with their engineers anymore.
