Fiat is on yet another recovery mission for the Indian market. The famous Italian automaker is now preparing to start production from its Kurla facility in Mumbai. In addition, it is also rumored that the company is planning to bring its Fiat Grande Punto for the Indian market. Fiat is now headed by De Filippis Giovanni who was recently appointed the Managing Director of the Fiat’s India Operation.
De Filippis Giovanni said in a statement while talking to a media group: “The factory was badly affected by the recent floods in Mumbai and we have an estimated loss of Rs 75 crores. Repair activity is going on in full swing and we should be ready to start producing the current range of A178 platform-based cars soon.”
