hi

today i got mtnl bradband connection MUMBAI

plan 849 night unlimited & 1.25gb free

240 kbps as download speed in IDM am getting correct speed
how to check user download usage mb used????
got connection today just saw 2 rediff videos and surfed some websites

in my usage acc.

ACTIVATION COLUMN IS BLANK
THIS MEANS WHAT??????????
I CLLED 1504 THEY SAID UR ACC. IS NOT ACTIVATED
IS THERE ANY NEEED TO ACTIVATE SOMETHING

ADSL AUR USB KA LIGHT BLINK KARTA HAI SOMTIMESS
KABHI KABI SIRF ADSL KA LIGHT GLOW KARTA HAI USB KA NAHI BUT AFTER RESTAR IT WORKS FINE

MTNL SAYS ADSL SHULD BE CONSTANT USB KA CHALTA HAI.....

IS THERE ANY PROBLEM IN ROUTER?????????

WHEN IM SURFING /DOWNLOADING ADSL N USB BLINKS
BUT AFTERSOMETIME MAY BE 15,25 MINUTES ALL STOPS BLINKING ALL LIFGT BECOMES STILL

MY DOWNLOAD SPEED BCOMS 0 NO WEBSITE WILL BE OPENED
WHY THIS IS HAPPENING

IS THERE ANT TIMER THAT AFTER SOMETIME IT WILLS TOP WORKING?????
 
if you keep seeing youtube or rediff or download torrents day time .. 8:00 am - midnight 12 then you will end up using ur data limit quota od 1.25 gb in 3 to 4 days. do all this things night time.. when its unlimited i.e: after 12 midnight to morning 8 am
 
i dont know abt rules, but u need to break ur post in parts!everything that comes to ur comp from internet is counted. u shud be getting speed abv 1500kbps. check ur ADSL router status page. also try GDMT mode in router, it might give stable connection.for how to do all these, pls use search button in this forum.

Your day quota will be 1.25/31 x 9 = approx 400 to 450 MB only. ( july23rd to 31st)
As advised by @amish use NU period only. ( recheck 1200AM to 0600AM or 1200 to 0800 AM )
If your user Id has @a uploads are also counted.
Use this meter to check your day usage. For Nu use the timer to stop records.

Nope, your download speed should be 220-240kBps (kilobytes), which is what you are getting now. I guess the 1500 was kbps (kilobits).

I have the same router. As long as the net works fine, I dont think there's any problem with yours.

To check the router's status, open http://192.168.1.1 in your browser's address bar, and use admin as both uname and pwd. In the page, click 'Status' on the top horizontal bar. Then, in the Status page, click 'ADSL' in the left vertical bar. Note the SNR margin, line attentuation and data rate. If there's too much noise, you might get an unstable connection.
 
1500 kbps = kilo bits per second ~ 185KiloBytes/s in ur router, there must be something called modulation, try disabling all except GDmt, that wud most likely solve ur ADSL light blinking problem.also ADSL status page wud show speed allocated. For most plans its around 2048kbps (download) and 256kbps (upload), if its not so then complain MTNL.btw, does upload get counted for @a accounts? i didnt know this.
