Hi Friends,

I am experiencing frequent disconnections on my BSNL BB service, I had registered complaint with local office according to them it is due to parallel line. But my other friends also have parallel connections they don't have any such kind of problem. What could be the reason behind this? Is it really due to parallel connection?
Please help me in this issue.:notallowed:

Thanks in Advance

1. Check your splitter. All connections should come after splitter. You may also bypass the splitter and connect the line directly to the modem and check.

Follow this diagram

2. Post your SNR and attenuation values.

Whats the ideal values of SNR and Attenuation one should get for decent speed?

u mean to say if there is parallel connection then this problem will continue.......?But if this is the case there are many o fmy friends who r using parallel connection they don't have this kind of problem. Is it the problem of my modem? Also can you provide me the site where I can register my complaint online.......

having a parallel phone before or after splitter may not be the real culprit for the low speeds .
it depends on many factors including condition of cables , modem , computer system ... etc .

first check if removing the parallel phone solves the problem . if it is so then you may have
to use another splitter for using the parallel phone . next confirm that there is no leakage
or earthing problem with your phone cable . you need BSNL linemen to check it .

finally request BSNL to change the port at the server . if it doesn't solve your problem then
proceed to complain ! here is BSNL online grievance cell suggested by forum contributors
