FTA channels and transponder capacity

Since TS is at a different latitude, (83 E as compared to 93.5E), it has to use its own transponders to show FTA channels from DD+. How many FTA channels are shown by Dish, Sun, Reliance and Aitel with their own transponders?

They get the DD+ broadcast for free, thats how they get to broadcast 200 channels with half the no. of TP of TS. and people think TS is cheating. its ISRO who is responsible for this

That's a great idea, we should send a mail to TS regarding this. They will save a lot TP space just by spending maybe Rs 1000 and adding a bigger or better dish

Tech_Enthu's solution only seems practical.
Kalyan's solution is not practical, as it will be complicated to combine two Dishes's wires to one STB if it all it is possible.

That's a great idea, we should send a mail to TS regarding this. They will save a lot TP space just by spending maybe Rs 1000 and adding a bigger or better dish

Try imagine how much Tata Sky needs to spend for giving all existing users an additional Dish even if they can get the Dish for Rs 400-500

But i dunno the pricing of Prism Dish.
